Pinterest’s Updated Re-Pinning Experience

Have you noticed Pinterest’s updated user experience with repinning?

The updated user experience seems a little bit more elevated and stream-lined. Here’s what I discovered:

  • When you click the “re-pin” button, the pinned image does a double-flip fly-out to the center of your screen.
  • The box to update the blurb for your pin is on the bottom. Previously, it was on the right side of the image.
  • After you re-pin, Pinterest gives you the option of viewing other Pinterest boards that particular pin lives on. I am not sure what algorithm Pinterest is using to feed us those boards though. It could be based on number of followers, number of total pins etc.

Could this be the beginning of more Pinterest enhancements? Will some of my Pinterest wish list items be fulfilled?!

The copy box is on the bottom. Previously, it was to the right of the image.

  2. I love this new feature! It looks so much more clean and professional.

  3. Why don’t all of my boards appear in the pop up window when I want to re-pin something? I use an I pad.

  4. I love this new feature on Pinterest too! Thanks for bringing the awareness my way. It inspired me to log in and start pinning!

  5. I’m definitely liking the new re-pinning on Pinterest. Plus, they finally have an ipad app! Now if I could just figure out how to get it to stop following random boards for me… lol
